If you would like to enrol your child/ren for their magical beginning at Chiselhurst, please complete our Waiting List Form. Our Waiting List Form is essentially our application form and provides us with information about your child, including any special needs we may need to plan for, parent/guardian contact details as well as your preferred kindergarten group.

A separate waiting list is maintained for each year for children turning 4 years of age by 30th June of the year of attendance in one of our Kindergarten groups. There is a $30 non-refundable booking fee to place your child's name on our waiting list.

To apply for a place, simply click on the link below, print out the Waiting List, complete, sign and return it to us.

If you prefer, you are also most welcome to apply in person at Chiselhurst.  Our Administration Manager would be more than happy to help you complete the enrolment process and answer any questions you may have.

Alternatively, please don't hesitate to give us a call and request a form to be mailed or emailed to you.

OUR WAITING LIST POLICY

  • Names taken for enrolment will be strictly in accordance with the child’s date of placement on the waiting list.

  • A child’s name is considered to be registered on our waiting list when the waiting list fee has been paid and a receipt has been received.

  • Where vacancies exist and no children remain on the waitlist the centre may enrol a child from next year’s waitlist providing the child has turned 3 years of age by 31 December.

  • Offers commence after our annual open day of the year prior to Kindergarten entry.

  • Children may be waitlisted at our Kindergarten from birth and where you live does not affect enrolment of your child.

Special Needs

Are you aware of any additional support that your child may require during his/her enrolment at Chiselhurst?

If, for any reason, your child may need special assistance e.g. special facilities, special equipment or additional support staff, please notify Chiselhurst as soon as possible and provide all medical reports or any relevant documentation so that we may plan for facilities or apply for funding, to best meet the needs of your child and the staff.  This information is requested to assist Chiselhurst in long term planning for the successful inclusion of children with special needs.  The information obtained will not be used to deny enrolment of your child.

What happens next?

Usually around June/July we will send a letter of offer to those families on the waiting list for the next year's Kindergarten program.   We approach families in consecutive order based upon when their child was placed on the list.  You can decide to accept or decline the offer of a placement in our Kindergarten Program.   If you do decide to accept the offer and join our wonderful community, a $150 non-refundable enrolment fee will be required to secure your child's place .

Before the commencement of your child's kindergarten year, Chiselhurst will invite you to attend an information session with your child's educator.  These sessions are designed to ensure families and educators are working together from day one to help children transition to Chiselhurst and create a magical, positive experience for everyone!

Visit Us or Attend an Open Day

Welcome to our Kindergarten chalk drawing on Chiselhurst entrance path

If you are interested in finding out more about Chiselhurst's approach and unique environment, we encourage you to visit our Kindergarten. We hold an Open Day in May each year following an information evening for families wishing to enrol their child/ren in the next year’s program. Our Open Day gives families and their children the opportunity to experience first-hand all the magic Chiselhurst has to offer.  At this time you will meet our friendly staff and talk to some of our present parents.

Alternatively, you are most welcome to visit us at any time with your child and we can answer any questions you may have.  The best time to visit our kindergarten is between the hours of 9:30 am and 12 pm when you can see the children engaged in the days program.
